Tin Talks

Summer 2007/2008 has definitely arrived. The energy has picked up: Cape Town is abuzz with film productions and the tourists are flocking in. More importantly the Twiice team has never been busier. We are particularly proud of the fact that we have closed three beautiful deals (WOW!!) involving international corporate projects in the last two weeks. This year started with bang and sales have continued to soar, resulting in a powerful crescendo as we reach the final few weeks of 2007.

The Twiice team’s creative juices have been flowing, resulting in a restyled Cape Town showroom, including Gandia Blasco’s new outdoor range and Richard Scott’s paintings.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who responded to my feature on copies in last month’s newsletter. All feedback was of immense value to me and has proved that many share my viewpoint. Rest assured: legal action is being taken.

Richard Scott in collaboration with Twiice International

Successful local artist Richard Scott is currently displaying his colourful paintings from his 'Hypnotized' series at Twiice International's Cape Town showroom.

Richard Scott: "I decided to do two new bodies of work. Hypnotized and Fields of Flowers. This body, Hypnotized, is a small collection of work hinged on my popular stripy series, with the background in a circular format."

"Hypnosis is a trance-like state that resembles sleep but which is induced by a hypnotist whose suggestions are readily accepted by their subject."

Twiice installation: MWEB

With Internet access becoming an increasingly necessary commodity for South Africans, the country’s leading Internet Service Provider, MWEB, opened its first retail store in the new Maponya Mall in Klipspruit, Soweto at the end of September. This is the first time MWEB has its own retail presence and it reflects the growing need for consumers to interact face-to-face with their service providers. Designed by Magic Dog Design, the store is highly interactive and tactile and Twiice International added to the look and feel of the store with their unique and comprehensive furniture product range.

The Soweto store was the first to open, and a second store will open at Cresta Shopping Centre in November.
